The inaugural edition of NanoThera Summit in Valencia, Spain, has been a complete success! It was largely due to the organisation by Curapath, a key partner in the SPM4.0 project, specialized in the tailored design, development, and GMP manufacturing of cutting-edge polymer and lipid-based drug delivery systems.

The first NanoThera Summit 2025 took place from 08-10 September and brought science and innovation to Valencia, Spain, consolidating this city as one of the key hubs for innovation in nanotherapies and advanced therapies. The event took place in the City of Arts and Sciences, a venue that embodies the fusion of art, science, and technology, and which, for the first time, hosted a scientific congress of this magnitude.
Over the course of three days, more than 150 leading professionals from the biopharmaceutical industry, academic research institutions, and the technology innovation sector convened to exchange insights, foster partnerships, and accelerate the translation of novel therapies from the laboratory to the clinic. The summit’s keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions were all designed to inspire collaboration and advance the future of precision medicine.
Throughout the event, globally recognized experts addressed the latest developments in the field, including innovative alternatives to PEG-based delivery systems such as LNPs and PNPs, breakthroughs in therapeutic polymers, gene therapy, and other emerging technologies that are actively shaping the future of nanomedicine.
By bridging the gap between academic research and industrial application, the NanoThera Summit 2025 underscored the principle that collaborative innovation is essential to transform scientific potential into tangible medical solutions.
The Valencian government, whose officials attended the official opening ceremony, also provided strong institutional support for the summit, reiterating the region’s commitment to biomedical innovation and fortifying the strategic partnership with Curapath.

This conference was also a great opportunity to Adele Maná, SPM4.0 Doctoral Candidate at Curapath to know leading researchers in the nanoparticles field and strength her network. She could discuss and get insights about her project, that aims to synthesize lipidic and polymeric nanoparticles to be used as test samples for machine learning algorithm.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, both organizers and participants are already anticipating the next NanoThera Summit, envisioned to draw an even broader international audience and to further consolidate Valencia’s position as a global hub for biomedical innovation in nanotherapies and advanced therapeutic platforms.
