Jamal Aslanov obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Czech Technical University in Prague, Czechia, where he developed a foundation in electronics and programming. He later continued his studies at Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany, where he deepened his knowledge of nanotechnology, semiconductor physics, and two-dimensional materials, gaining practical experience with AFM, Raman spectroscopy, and MOCVD growth.

Jamal is currently a doctoral candidate at ICMM-CSIC in Madrid within the SPM4.0 Doctoral Network. His research focuses on developing machine-learning methods for AFM-based characterization of soft-matter properties, intending to improve and automate AFM workflows, data analysis, and measurement procedures for life-science and biomedical applications.
