DC 5: Jhon Pazos Alonso (IBEC-CERCA)
Jhon Pazos Alonso obtained his Bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering from New Granada Military University and his Master’s in Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, jointly awarded by Central University and Foundation University of Health Sciences (FUCS), Colombia. His master’s thesis focused on a modular microfluidic reactor for synthesizing superparamagnetic iron-oxide/gold hybrid nanoparticles.
He has worked as an Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) specialist and research assistant at the Advanced Microscopy Laboratory and the Research Cluster on Converging Sciences and Technologies (NBIC) at Central University.
Jhon is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD fellow in Dr. Gabriel Gomila’s Nanoscale Bioelectrical Characterization group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), developing AI-assisted methods for multiparametric AFM biomolecular imaging.
